**Overview**
Due to the increase in patient volume with the addition of the general surgeon at the clinic, **Barrhead Family Clinic** is seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Greet patients and assist with check-in processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, (Telus MedAccess.)
- Handle phone calls addressing patient inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Support healthcare providers by preparing examination rooms and assisting during procedures when needed.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in administrative tasks within a medical office setting.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient information.
- Ability to operate phone systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service at the front desk.
- Experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in English is required.
