The Financial Officer will have the opportunity to make a difference in our business as we are passionate about agriculture and committed to "Thriving Plants, Animals and People". This position has the potential for some remote work. **Responsibilities**: **Overall Financial Management** - Implement Cash Management System with regular Ownership Reporting - Regular and ongoing budgeting - Bookkeeping Oversight - Bank Reporting - Collaboration with partners - Assist with strategic planning **Inventory Management** - Implement Inventory Management System - Collaborate with partners on inventory management - Weekly inventory reports - Monthly Compliance Reporting **Profitability Analysis** - Pen closeouts - Enterprise analysis - Internal review of expense accounts - Monthly cost comparisons with partners **Programs** - Manage regulatory requirements as needed **Introduce Technology** - Transition office to paperless within a year - Introduce technology to capture data from daily farm activities **Experience** - Accounting Designation and/or - 5 + years Banking Experience **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday Ability to Commute: - Barrhead, AB (required) Ability to Relocate: - Barrhead, AB: Relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person
