As a Fire Management Supervisor, you will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of providing strategic oversight in the planning, coordination, and implementation of both operational and technical aspects of our fire management program. Stationed at the centralized regional fire management headquarters, your role is pivotal in shaping the direction and effectiveness of our efforts to manage and mitigate the impact of wildland fires. We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of success and leadership in the strategic planning and management of a wildland fire management program. This is an opportunity to bring your expertise to the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources' Aviation, Forest Fire, and Emergency Services branch, where your contributions will be instrumental in safeguarding our forests and communities.

**About Us**:
The Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services Branch provides wildland fire management services for the province including wildland fire management policies and strategies, fire prevention and detection, and the basic resources for managing wildland fires; aviation flight and maintenance crews and equipment in support of wildland fire and natural resources management, and other specialized aviation services, including non-scheduled air transport to all government ministries and agencies; and emergency management in response to wildland fires, floods, drought/low water, dam failures, erosion, soil and bedrock instability, crude oil and natural gas exploration, natural gas and hydrocarbon underground storage, and salt solution mining emergencies.

- Provide program leadership in the administration, coordination and delivery of wildland fire management business
- Liaise closely with the district manager, forest industry, community officials, other stakeholders and the public
- Ensure the level of protection from wildland fires as directed by the Ontario government is provided
- Contribute to the ministry's goal of ecological sustainability
- Ensure the ecological role of wildland fire and its impacts on the landscape are well understood and utilized-
