Fire Suppression Technician

We are currently seeking a qualified Fire Suppression Technician that can appreciate the diversity of work that our company has to offer.**
**Duties and Responsibilities;**
- Hydro-Testing of both low and High Pressure extinguishers and cylinders as required
- Filling and repairing extinguishers and cylinders as needed
- Maintaining shop equipment and working with the Service Supervisor for repairs as needed
- Ensuring safe use of all shop tools and equipment including use of company service vehicle
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions to service related problems
- Timely and accurate completion and submission of paperwork
- Participate in mandatory safety training and industry certifications
- Follow Safe Work Practices
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed when handling paperwork and customer inventory
- Maintaining a clean work environment within the branch service areas, service vehicles or customer locations
- Pickup and delivery of service work and completed jobs as required
- Maintain company equipment and service vehicle
- Complete service reports legibly and utilize software to document work performed
- Provide exceptional customer service while proudly representing Vulcan Fire & Safety Systems Ltd.
- Follow all company related policies & procedures to include safety rules and good driving habits
- Ensure continued communication and cooperation with other teammates
- All other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Valid Class G Driver’s License and no major traffic violations within the past 3 years
- Must be able to work a varying schedule including early morning and late evening hours to accommodate customer needs.
- Strong communication skills - meaning, an honest, open, and thorough (verbal and written) communicator
- Responsible, detail oriented individual, who has demonstrated past exceptional performance
- Available to work a schedule with variable start/stop times, during the daytime and overnight
- Physically able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs., to work in small/tight areas, at heights, and to kneel/stand for long periods of time.
- Availability to travel and stay out of town periodically
- Reliable Transportation to/from WORK (MANDATORY)
- Employment is contingent upon passing a comprehensive background check. (MANDATORY)
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully without close supervision
