What you'll do:

- Provide guidance to team of Financial Analysts and approve prepared journal entries, billings and reconciliations
- Liaise with business partners and other lines of business to obtain relevant data, solve problems and create efficient processes
- Track and monitor results
- Provide guidance to business units, external vendors, and other users of financial information
- Prepare monthly and periodic financial reporting packages
- Provide analytical commentary on results
- Ad hoc financial reporting and presentations as requested by management
- Evaluate performance and determine result drivers
- Analyze financial accounts make recommendations on how to maximize efficiency
- Research and recommend accounting treatment for all new projects
- Make sound financial recommendations factoring both quantitative and qualitative factors

What you'll need:

- Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting or Finance
- Completion of CA/CMA/CGA/CPA designation, or in advanced stages of program
- A minimum of 3 years management experience in accounting/financial analysis/reporting
- Strong technical skills (IFRS, SAP, Great Plains, etc.)
- Strong Excel skills (macros/vba/pivot tables/vlookups)
- An aptitude for figures and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective verbal and written skills
- Excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact with people at various levels of an organization
- Proactive individual, able to effectively manage various projects simultaneously
- Previous audit experience is preferred
- Experience in retail and/or telecommunications is considered an asset
