**Job description**

The person for this role will be self-motivated, creative, and willing to try new things. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking for part-time work, and available sixteen and a half hours a week.

**Requirements**:

- A **clear** Police Criminal Check for the Vulnerable Services Sector
- ECE background or equivalent experience with children is required
- Excellent understanding of child development
- Ability to come up with creative ideas to educate and engage children
- A pleasant and patient personality
- Availability to work evening shifts, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and daytime Saturday
- First Aide / CPR certification

**Assets**:

- Driver’s License and access to a vehicle is an asset
- Previous experience as an ECE, Nanny, or PSW is an asset
- Sensory integration skills are an asset

**Responsibilities**:

- Organize creative activities, chores, and educational games (e.g., drawing, crafting and sensorimotor activities)
- Homework assistance
- Light housekeeping, food preparation and self-feeding instruction
- Bathing, bedtime preparation, and potty training
- After school pickup, and transportation to extracurricular activities
- Ensure child safety
- Capable of responding to emergency situations, for example injury or illness
- Submit invoices according to schedule
- Implement playdate opportunities with other children

**Part-time hours: 14hrs - 19hrs per week**

**Rate of pay $18**

**Additional Requirements**:

- Proof of Covid Vaccines required. Masks to be worn during indoor activities
