Afternoon Support Worker

Are you energetic, physically active, and ready to venture into the community daily?
A young man in his mid 20’s and his family are looking for an easygoing and trustworthy person who can bring daily enrichment to his life. You will provide afternoon/evening weekly support to this man in his family’s home and aid him in exploring new opportunities in his **Oshawa **community.
As a **self-employed** **support worker**, you will be asked to assist with cooking, full personal care, housekeeping tasks, engaging in interest-based activities and community participation daily. While being led by the family, you will be mindful and provide compassionate support while the man gains new life experiences. You are confident to support him during times of heightened agitation or distress. Attention to and awareness for his safety always is a must.

**Key Requirements**:
Must have **valid G Driver’s class license** and **have own vehicle**
Completion of Vulnerable Sector Police check
CPR/Frist Aid Certification
Personal care experience
Non-smoker

**Available**: Monday - Friday 130pm-930pm, weekend hours may be available
**Hourly Rate**: $20 for probation period, then $23/hr
**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evenings
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Oshawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- supportive care: 4 years (required)
- Personal Care: 4 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
