We are seeking an Overnight Dispatcher Coordinator for our Mississauga, Ontario location.

This is an ideal position for a driven individual that is committed to working in partnership with team members and improving processes along the way.

The Overnight Dispatcher Coordinator will be responsible for:

- Responsible for all driver communication. Provide detailed pick up and delivery information.
- Review all available pick up’s on the dispatch board and ensure shipments are appropriately dispatched to assigned trucks.
- Maintain dispatch board clearly identifying shipment information, truck location and trailer positioning.
- Coordinate all fleet maintenance with fleet manager. Facilitate delivery of equipment to various maintenance and repair vendors.
- Arrange for the most cost-effective and economical routing for the daily deliveries.
- Keep close communication with Dispatch, Data Centre and Dock.
- update the Planning sheet, and TM with the next days loads and driver information

- Start the new day with dispatching the drivers and communicate to them any special requirements.

- If we are running late on certain lane due to different kind of reasons, ensure this is communicated to CS, Dispatch and customers with ETA of when the deliveries will happen.
- Be able to react quickly and make decision if mechanical problem occurs on tractor / trailer and make sure you know what is priority.

**Skills**:

- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of inside and outside personnel, customers, clients and outside industry contacts;
- Must have excellent communications skills both verbal and written;
- Assessment techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating and reporting;
- Strong knowledge of dispatch operations in the transportation industry;
- Ability to use analytical skills in planning and organizing;
- Creativity and resourcefulness;
- Attention to detail and accuracy;
- Willingness to work flexible hours;
- Must be well organized and be able to handle a high degree of stress;
- Ability to use a wide range of intellectual and practical problem solving skills;
Training, Experience and Education:

- Required: High School Diploma with continuing education in the transportation industry
- This position requires one year of Operations experience with a company similar to Apps Transport Group. Must have geographic knowledge of Ontario and geographic knowledge of GTA (streets) and be knowledgeable of associated trucking regulations.
