**About the Position**:
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Essential but not limited to the following;
**Lead Generation & Prospecting**
- Identify opportunities within IHL’s existing customer database.
**Customer Communication**
- Explain the features, benefits, and value of IHL’s product offerings tailoring pitches to address the specific customer pain-points.
- Provide best-in-class service to the customer to ensue retention.
**Order Processing & Support**
- Assist customers with placing orders and resolving basic issues.
- Understand when/how to utilize upselling and cross-selling tactics to achieve desired results.
- Recognize the benefit of IHL’s “in-house” and “partnership” brands for customers.
**Contractor Desk Sales**
- Build a strong and engaging bond with the customer to ensure repeat business opportunities.
- Answer customer inquiries suggest items and assist customers with product.
- Identify customer needs and cultivate effective sales strategies to connect with them through various products and materials offered.
- Assess the customer’s need for loading assistance, taking into consideration the merchandise being purchased as well as other environmental factors.
- Responsible for ensuring that respective till counts balance at the beginning and end of shift and ensures Till Log’s are completed on a daily basis.
- Advocates all non -conformities and ensures that all customer escalation matters are brought to the attention of the Manager on Duty.
- Ability to solve problems; recognize customer needs, wants and overcome objections.
- Identify add-ons and cross-selling opportunities to customers.
- Be aware of current promotions, sales, and flyers, Introduce promotions and opportunities to customers.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- 3+ years of progressive experience in a similar Client-facing role, within the construction and building supplies industry.
- Post-secondary education from an accredited institution (significant sales experience, in lieu of education will be considered.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong customer service experience, coupled with a positive, professional attitude.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines.
- Ability to pull, push, and lift up to 50lbs.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 42.5 per week
