**College Joe **is a digital newsletter and media blog platform dedicated to improving the lives of college students by providing them with blogs filled with tips and suggestions to help navigate the challenges of everyday life.

As our Chief Editor Intern, you will be responsible for managing a team of writers to produce a high-quality student publication that reflects the interests and concerns of the post-secondary student community. This internship will provide a valuable opportunity to gain experience and insight into the editorial process of a fast-paced digital publication website.

**Note: This job will start with a 3 month internship and then has the ability to be expanded into a full-time, permanent role.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Check in with the writing team and help provide feedback and guidance on articles
- Develop and implement editorial guidelines, standards, and policies (having SEO experience is preferred)
- Assign articles and coordinate with writers to ensure timely and quality content
- Construct a unique College Joe voice and style that stays consistent among all articles
- Review, edit, and approve all content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines
- Manage the publication schedule and ensure that all deadlines are met
- Identify trends and opportunities for growth and improvement
- Provide regular feedback to team members to improve quality of work

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate degree
- Having SEO and digital marketing experience is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational/project management skills
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and meet deadlines
- Previous experience in journalism, media, or publishing is an asset
- Familiarity with journalism ethics and principles

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week
