Scope of Position:
Provide thorough data analysis to support the companies needs in accordance with company policies, customer specifications, provincial and federal laws, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough segment research to identify potential suppliers, analyze industry trends, and assess market dynamics to make informed purchasing decisions that will feed into the Purchasing Strategy.
- Analyze pricing models, total cost of ownership, and value propositions to determine the most cost-effective purchasing solutions without compromising quality or service levels. Prepare reports and/or communication regarding outcome.
- Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to analyze and determine purchasing strategies to achieve cost savings and improve business model efficiency.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost optimization through data-driven analysis and benchmarking best practices.
- Build & maintain strong professional relationships with the supply base & internal stakeholders.

Basic Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program in a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools, specifically Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy and quality.
- An ability to work on own initiative.
