**About us**:
Professional Custom Homes is a fast-paced, opportunity-rich company that is now hiring for the position of Construction Site Supervisor.

As the Construction Site Supervisor you will be working closely with the construction team (trades people, and subcontractors), the internal team (CEO, project coordinators, and general manager), as well as third party vendors (suppliers, etc.).

The current project you will be taking over is a multi-building, 44 unit construction site, with a completion timeline of 10 months as it is currently in the framing stages. You will also be expected to begin another construction site and simultaneously manage both. The next project will commence in 6 to 8 months and will be an apartment building.
- **Job-Specific Tasks**:_

Pre-Construction
- Establish scope of work and schedule: review plans (electrical, architectural, structural, mechanical, and civil), and specifications
- Understand timeline, prospective challenges, and gain familiarity with the tradespeople and methods of communication.
- Responsible for establishing access and regular review of construction documents
- Work closely with team members and decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective project delivery.
- Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower required

Construction
- Strong focus on pre-planning steps; this will require strong communication with various team members to establish an _‘on the ground reality’_, then plan next steps to ensure the project is delivered on time, on budget and on spec.
- Develop and deliver daily informal reports to supervisors, including pictures and any explanations of any roadblocks
- Skillfully navigate daily challenges, adapting to changes while safeguarding business continuity
- Evaluate risks to the project with a pre-emptive approach to mitigate delays, rework and cost escalation
- Solution through problems that arise on site to ensure the most optimal solution is chosen
- Build, develop, maintain and nurture positive relationships with PCH team, consultant(s), sub-trades and suppliers.
- Conduct site walkthroughs to explain scope of work to subcontractors through effective communication and attention to detail
- Work closely with the project coordinators to minimize their need to do task work
- Create communication and execution plans for construction related tasks, assign tasks to individuals and track completions of tasks.
- Ensure project health, safety, and environmental standards meet legislated requirements and company policy
- Keep track of inventory, tools, and equipment
- Allocate and manage resources, tools and materials to ensure that they are available when needed throughout the construction projects
- Ensure the site remains clean and tidy, that each trade leaves the site with acceptable levels of cleanliness allowing subsequent trades to complete work safely and efficiently
- Ensure all deadlines are met
- Other responsibilities and tasks may be added and/or changed as required

Post Construction
- Assist with the completion of any deficiencies and issues related to the warranty period
- Ensure total completion of project, including final inspection and building occupancy
- **Skills Required**:_

The site supervisor must take charge of the project, **driving site movement** by ensuring tasks are completed on time and by managing the workforce effectively. They must make quick decisions that keep the project moving forward while minimizing downtime.

**Clear and open communication** with all trades, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders is critical. A site supervisor must convey expectations, timelines, and any changes to ensure everyone is aligned and the work progresses as planned.

Construction sites are dynamic, and unexpected issues often arise. A competent site manager needs to **identify problems quickly**—whether related to logistics, material delays, safety concerns, or workmanship—and **solve them on the spot** to avoid delays. This requires a practical, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

A **deep understanding of construction processes**, tools, materials, and safety regulations is essential. This enables the supervisor to foresee potential issues, review work quality, and provide guidance to the trades.

Managing multiple tasks, trades, and schedules simultaneously is a key aspect of the role. A successful **site supervisor must prioritize tasks, coordinate resources efficiently**, and ensure all activities are completed on schedule, avoiding costly delays.

**Small mistakes can lead to significant problems in construction**. A diligent site supervisor must have a **keen eye for detail to inspect work quality**, ensure compliance with plans and specifications, and address potential issues before they escalate.

Leading a construction team requires the ability to **build positive relationships, foster teamwork, and
