**About Us**

The Freebird Market is looking for a Pastry Team Lead to join our culinary team We’re seeking someone passionate about pastry, excited to collaborate, and eager to bring fresh ideas to the table. If you’re driven by creativity and thrive in a hands-on, inclusive kitchen, we’d love to meet you.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Work alongside the pastry team in daily production and service
- Step into a supporting role for junior teammates during high-volume periods
- Prepare baked goods, breads, doughs, pasta, and confections using established recipes
- Produce fruit trays and other catering menu items
- Support high-volume production while maintaining exceptional quality
- Collaborate with department heads, ownership, and executive chefs
- Assist in developing and testing new seasonal pastries and offerings
- Decorate and present baked goods with creativity and attention to detail
- Operate a variety of kitchen equipment (ovens, mixers, torches, etc.)
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate clearly with the pastry team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
- Be flexible and available to work varying hours based on business needs
- Take direction from ownership and executive chefs
- able to track inventory of ready made products and of raw ingredients as it pertains to

upcoming production needs

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a baking or pastry-focused role
- Comfortable with high-volume production and a variety of pastry styles
- well versed in different styles
- Good communication skills and ability to take initiative
- Calm under pressure, solution-focused, and team-oriented
- Positive attitude with a willingness to grow and learn
- Able to build strong working relationships with coworkers

**Schedule & Availability**
- Full-time only
- Must be available for morning, evening, and weekend shifts

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
