**Packaging Technician - Bakery**

**General Duties**:

- Monitors workstations consistently throughout the daily operations to ensure no bottlenecking or issues with equipment occur
- Completes visual inspection of products to ensure they adhere to proper size, weight, topping specifications, filling specifications, and clamshell specifications before packaging into designated clamshells
- Voice concerns to Quality Assurance team should finished products fall out of specifications
- Steps in for General Labourers as required for business needs
- First point of contact to step in with bottlenecks throughout operations that require more manpower
- Monitors the following equipment and materials to support packaging leadership through visual + audible inspection of:

- o Labeller
- o Icing Machine
- o Metal Detector
- o Case Maker/Box Erector Station
- Responsible to perform work instructions in critical points throughout packaging division: Picking Stations

Case Maker/Box Erector Station
- Support lead hand with schedule management and shift changes
- Break relief
- Ensure food safety remains high priority and is an ambassador for a food-safe culture
- Integral role in leading the team to ensure food safety compliance, Del's internal policies, occupational health and safety.
- Clean workstation and general housekeeping
- Additional responsibilities & duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Must be a quick thinker and learner
- For overnight work - previous overnight experience asset
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Leadership skills with great attention to detail
- Food Handling experience a strong asset
- Must have manual dexterity and stamina
- Conversational English (Verbal and Written)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.05-$16.65 per hour
