**Community Connections Practitioner - Temporary**
Lethbridge Family Services (LFS) is seeking a community connections practitioner to join our Immigrant Services department In this role, you will build bridges between eligible clients, indigenous people, established immigrants, and long-time Canadians to promote intercultural exchange, and facilitate meaningful relationships. Community connection practitioners help promote a welcoming and inclusive community by educating the community on their role in the integration through public presentations and encouraging active engagement.

**Community Connection Practitioners**:
- recruit program volunteers,
- maintain information and orientation packages for program participants,
- maintain monthly contact with program participants,
- develop and implement strategies and outreach activities and establish appropriate community partnerships to introduce programs,
- research and provide information on community programs, events and celebrations for clients and volunteers to attend,
- maintain accurate records, reports, statistical data, and program supports, and
- maintain a high level of client confidentiality.
**Required skills and qualifications**:
- an undergraduate degree and/or diploma in human services, social work, psychology, sociology, anthropology, or education,
- proven high levels of proficiency in computer skills, and
- extensive knowledge of Lethbridge community resource networks.
**All new employees must provide a police information check and vulnerable sector check dated not less than 90 days prior to the date of hire.**
Number of positions available: 1
Hours**:Temporary for 1 year or upon the return of the incumbent, Monday - Friday 35 hours/ week.**
