**SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Capacity Manager, the Capacity Analyst will be responsible for the short to midterm objectives while supporting the Capacity Manager with longer term planning. The Capacity Analyst will provide overview of the core aspects of our business, meanwhile assist in maintaining a downfield view to ensure the organization is well situated to meet all future resourcing needs. Additionally, the Analyst will be the key point of contact for the Capacity and Operations Center team for most inter-departmental coordination, communications, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize revenue and control costs.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned:
- Provides workforce planning and analytics to develop staffing requirements for the long, medium and short term; focus on hours forecasting; training and qualification requirements; attrition analysis; recruitment planning
- Understands long-term and short-term business strategies as it relates to workforce implications
- Identify areas of improvement; initiate and lead process improvement initiatives within the organization that are impacted by the influence of the Capacity department
- Reviews CATSA requirements, builds business solution plans, and participates in the development of CATSA deliverables
- Assists in the creation, maintenance, and support of passenger forecasting and demand graph generation
- Forecasting weekly/quarterly budgetary targets in excess 30,000 hours per week across multiple qualifications
- Provides leadership and support to Regional bases within the Allied Universal Aviation division
- Sets policies and guidelines to create efficient schedules by the way of formal Shift Bids based on seasonal flight schedules
- Act as a leader for the Capacity team in the absence of the Capacity Manager
- Performs other duties as required or directed
**BASIC REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bacheloras Degree in Business/Economics, Statistics/Mathematics, or related degree. Combination of education and work experience will also be considered.
- 3+ years in workforce management and planning managing a large workforce in a unionized environment
- Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements required; Federal Labour Code an asset
- Experience in the aviation industry would be considered an asset
- Experience working with reporting software tools and database creation would be considered an asset
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to problem solve with considerations on the bottom line
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and written skills
- Strong supervisory, organizational and project management skills with a proven ability to re-design and implement new procedures, processes and strategies
- Exposure to strategic planning and the ability to drive forward thinking plans to improve operational performance
- Ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis
- Ability to secure and maintain Federal Secret Security Clearance
