Product Development Analyst

Position Scope
We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Development Analyst with a mechanical engineering background to join our New Product Development (NPD) Group. This role focuses on supporting the end-to-end development of industrial equipment and mechanical systems, from concept design through prototyping, testing, and commercialization into the FPS product portfolio.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, field service, and controls teams to translate customer needs into practical, reliable, and manufacturable equipment solutions. This role also coordinates cross-functional development activities, ensuring new equipment products meet performance, cost, quality, and schedule targets.
The primary measure of success will be the ability to apply engineering knowledge and customer insights to drive equipment innovation that meets or exceeds market requirements, while effectively managing technical risks and supporting continuous product improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, interpret, and present data related to product performance, client feedback, and market trends.
- Conduct market research on new industry trends and prepare detailed reports for decision-making purposes.
- Support the product manager by coordinating activities between different teams and stakeholders, setting timelines and milestones, and ensuring that development projects are completed within budget and on time.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for each product and produce regular reports.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization on all portfolio products.
- Develop and nurture relationships with customers and partner companies.
- Field requests from clients and coordinate within the product team to address their needs.
- Other general office duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Abilities
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, any related Engineering discipline.
- Early-stage career professionals with 1-2 years of project or product development related experience. Preferably in the manufacturing or food processing industry.
- Highly developed skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven Product Management Skills: goal oriented, sense of urgency, and able to manage changing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision in a cross-functional team environment.
- Capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines, understand business needs and objectives.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Willing to travel to our international facilities or client sites as required from time to time.
