Position Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end completion of assigned activities and smaller initiatives designed to ensure business processes are optimized while risks are appropriately mitigated and are in alignment with established policies and guidelines, including the maintenance of the supporting procedures and communication of changes
Work closely with Underwriting team members and other stakeholders to document, map and analyze current state processes and identify areas for improvement
Provide recommendations to management, feedback, and opinions to resolve problems and strengthen the client and employee experience across our secured lending processes.
Manage day-to-day issues to analyze and drive to resolution
Identify patterns/trends in issues that are occurring through data-driven analysis, and recommend solutions to management to put longer term solutions in place to address repeating issues
Work closely with business partners, risk/governance groups to identify, examine and mitigate risks arising from business practices or to satisfy regulatory requirements
Support analysis and provide recommendations to management on immediate and longer-term steps to take to address identified business risks and issues
Formal Education
Post secondary degree or diploma preferred in related area
Related Experience
2 years’ experience in Financial Industry, with 1-2 years’ experience in Underwriting-related activities, is an asset
Experience in Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and DevOps or JIRA. Use of Power BI an asset.
Relevant project or Agile experience is an asset.
Experience writing requirements and working with Technology partners an asset.
