**Position Overview**:
- The Day Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in creating, implementing, and managing innovative programs that meet the diverse needs of our participants. Using their diploma in Autism and Behavioural Science (ABA/IBI), the coordinator will develop engaging daily activities, set behavioral goals, and collaborate with staff to ensure the highest quality of service._
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Program Development**: Design and implement daily schedules and activities for three different tier groups, catering to varying levels of ability and interest.
- **Behavioral Goals**: Develop and monitor individualized behavioral goals for participants, ensuring measurable progress.
- **Staff Collaboration**:Train and support staff in data collection, augmentative communication techniques, and self-help skill development.
- **Data Management**: Oversee and analyze participant progress using evidence-based practices, ensuring programs are aligned with individual needs and goals.
- **Team Leadership**: Build and mentor a strong team of staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- **Participant Growth**: Create programs that promote independence, communication, and social skills to enhance the quality of life for adults with disabilities.
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma or certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science (ABA/IBI) or a related field.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably in a day program setting.
- Strong understanding of behavioral principles and data collection methodologies.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to develop creative and engaging activities tailored to participants’ needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, participants, and families.
