SaintLambert, Canada Champlain Regional College Full time

The Continuing Education department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR to teach the course of MENTAL HEALTH & SUBSTANCE ABUSE (351-429-LA).

This course examines issues related to mental health and substance abuse. The focus is on the impact these may have on a person’s daily functioning, as well as his/her family. Students receive theoretical knowledge allowing them to recognize and understand the major features of the more commonly encountered disorders. The focus is on current best practices in the field, preparing students to accompany clients through the process of rehabilitation, ongoing maintenance, and relapse prevention.

**Required Qualifications**:
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline and 2 years teaching experience. Teaching experience in special care counselling or a related program such as counselling or clinical psychology, and work experience specific to the mental health and substance abuse client groups are required. This course is taught in English; proficiency in English is required.

**Comments**:
This course will be delivered in a face-to-face format (synchronous); classes will be taught onsite from the College. The format of delivery may change based on Government directives in place at the time of the course.
