**Job Title**: Digital & Social Media Coordinator

**Reporting To**: Director, Marketing

**Purpose**: To execute and manage the Foundation’s social media strategy, creating content to engage audiences and amplify the brand and mission.

**Overview**:
The BC Parks Foundation’s goal is to create the greatest system of parks and protected areas on earth. It has launched a 25x25 expedition with four objectives, including protecting land and waters, safe and responsible enjoyment, improving human health, and safeguarding biodiversity.

The Foundation measures its success by meeting the mission targets outlined above, and by the number of supporters and resources (funds, volunteer hours, in-kind, etc.) generated for its mission. A key element of achieving our goals, objectives, and metrics is to engage people, increasing their enjoyment, learning, health, and charitable giving to nature.

**Role Summary**:
The Digital & Social Media Coordinator will play a key role in executing digital marketing strategies and managing the Foundation's social media presence. This position involves working closely with the Marketing Director, Content Creator, and Digital Experience Strategist to enhance the Foundation's online presence, engage with our audience, and promote the BC Parks Foundation mission and brand.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute the Foundation’s social media strategy in alignment with the organization’s goals.
- Manage and update social media platforms with engaging content, ensuring consistency in brand messaging.
- Monitor social media trends and leverage them to increase engagement and reach.
- Collaborate with the Content Creator to develop and schedule compelling digital content.
- Assist in creating multimedia content for various digital platforms, including websites, blogs, and newsletters.
- Support the team in executing digital marketing campaigns.
- Analyze digital campaign performance and provide insights for optimization.
- Actively engage with the online community, responding to comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Foster an online community aligned with the Foundation's values and objectives.
- Track and report on digital and social media engagement metrics.
- Provide insights on social media performance and suggest improvements.

All employees may carry out a range of functions beyond their core roles and are expected to help with advancing the organization as a whole.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in social media management and digital marketing.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics.
- Creative thinking and ability to produce innovative and original ideas.
- Passionate about conservation and the mission of the BC Parks Foundation.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team player with a collaborative spirit.

**Work Environment**:

- This is a full-time position (40 hrs/week, Monday to Friday)
- The position will work a hybrid schedule of in person (2-3 days in the office) and work from home
