Technical Project Manager

**Job Summary**
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Scope & Quotation Development**:
- Review client needs and gather relevant info
- Collaborate with engineering on conceptual solutions
- Develop and present technical SoCs; ensure stakeholder alignment
- Estimate resources and materials; obtain vendor quotes; compile project costing
**Design, Engineering & Planning**:
- Lead project kickoffs and key design reviews
- Maintain risk ledger and action item registry
- Develop detailed project schedules (Gantt charts)
- Coordinate with all departments to align schedules and resources
- Compile Job Safety & Success Analysis (JSSA) and review with internal/external stakeholders
**Procurement & Fabrication**:
- Ensure timely procurement of long-lead items
- Monitor project costs and risks
- Conduct quality control checks
- Troubleshoot roadblocks with fabrication and procurement teams
**Onsite Execution**:
- Lead installation kickoff and coordination meetings
- Review scope and documentation with installers
- Support onsite teams, often requiring physical presence
- Interface with client and provide regular updates
- Ensure installation meets safety and technical standards
- Manage schedule adherence and implement contingency plans as needed
**Financial & Project Closeout**:
- Provide invoice schedules; track receivables
- Manage scope changes and communicate cost/time impacts
- Oversee technical closeout for timely financial closure
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- BASc in Engineering
- 2+ years of project management experience
- 5+ years technical experience, preferably in machine design
- PMP certification or equivalent knowledge
- Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing fundamentals
- Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and collaborative across teams
- Skilled communicator and leader in office, shop, and site settings
- Valid driver's license; available for travel (10-15%, with preference for more)
- Flexible availability including weekends/evenings based on project needs

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
