Project Manager

Principal responsibilities of the Project manager include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for reviewing ongoing cost levels during project undertaking
- Ensures that all matters related to the general administration of the contract are addressed to facilitate the successful completion of the fabrication of the product to the satisfaction of the customer and Trenergy Inc.
- Primary source of contact between Trenergy Inc and the customer in all matters; e.g. scope, technical, schedule, quality assurance etc.
- Responsible for control of contract purchased material budget through approval of all purchases related to the materials and services required to meet the fabrication requirements.
- Establish project definition to shop personnel through formal contract release.
- Provide continued communication to shop personnel of developments and changes as related to the project scope.
- Create, issue and maintain formal project schedule (using Microsoft Projects) based on internal shop issued schedules for communication to customer and monitoring of project progress.
- Resolution of scope, technical, fabrication and non-conformance issues with customer.
- Monitor contract details to process and negotiate extras with customer for changes in contract scope.
- Ensure that management is kept aware of all major activities and developments as related to the scope of the contract.
- Development and maintenance of good working relationships with Trenergy customers.
- Miscellaneous related duties.
- Reviews performance on contract after completion
**Qualifications**:
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Strong written and oral communication
- Excellent time management skills with ability to handle several projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in AutoCad, Microsoft Project and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge in AutoCAD Inventor is an asset
- Knowledge in MasterCAM is an asset
- Knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Sections I & VIII is an asset
Required experience:
5+ years’ experience in the steel fabricating industry
