Women in Resource Development Corporation is looking to hire a Marketing & Communications Specialist to join their supportive and fast growing team. Created in 1997, Women in Resource Development Corporation (WRDC) is a provincial non-profit organization committed to increasing women's participation in trades and technology.

**What you will be doing**:

- Developing, implementing, and monitoring marketing and communications strategies, policies, and practices, including associated documents
- Ensuring compliance to brand and visual standards
- Sending messages in a consistent and effective brand voice
- Managing and maintaining WRDC website and social media profiles
- Developing media content and collecting media metrics
- Coordinating and executing the design, writing, editing, and production of various communications materials including speech writing, marketing campaigns, social media content, press releases, etc.
- Coordinating media interviews and leveraging communications opportunities to promote WRDC programs, events, and campaigns
- Capturing feedback from community members, clients, and stakeholders to refine marketing, public relations, and social media strategies
- Coaching staff on communications, media relations and social media best practices
- Researching associated costs and preparing detailed estimates and budgets

**What you will bring**:

- A Degree/Diploma in communications, public relations, journalism, or transferrable area
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
- Highly sophisticated oral, written, and presentation skills including content writing, editing, proofreading, interviewing, etc.
- Experience providing engaging, creative, and effective content for diverse audiences
- The ability to build long term relationships and work collaboratively with businesses, industry associations, government, community organizations, media outlets, etc.
- Computer literacy skills including Microsoft 365, virtual platforms, etc.
- The ability to work with mínimal supervision
- A driven team player mentality
- Robust understanding of the media landscape (digital and print) and metric tracking
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders, such as high-level sponsors and corporate partners is not required but an asset
- Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines

- Annual salary range of $45,000 - $55,000
