Alice & Smith Metalab is the proud SI arm of Alice & Smith (A&S).
A&S brings these capabilities to its clients through deploying XR Server, a proprietary no-code API toolkit that empowers brands to operate LiveOps-driven engagement campaigns with consummate ease. XR Server is the culmination of decades of gamification experience, expertise, and success.
Alice & Smith Metalab specializes in LiveOps and systems integration services to help Clients architect, deploy, and maximize the value of XR Server and Playfab within their technology ecosystems.
To join our growing team, we are looking for a Data Analyst for our Montreal office. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for the analysis and reporting of usage and LiveOps technology generated data to feed insights into the product team for continuous improvement.
You will interface and engage with a team consisting of expertise ranging from development to game design, fostering collaboration, managing resources, and ensuring effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to derive actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain databases, data systems, and data analytics tools.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
- Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in complex datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Create visualizations and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and data mining as required.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of data management policies and procedures.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analytics.
**Required skills**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Proficient in SQL and relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools such as R, Python, or SAS.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib), with preference for Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
