**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for supervising store personnel and store activities in the absence of/and at the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager
- Assisting in training of employees and volunteers; plans, assigns and directs work in absence of Store Manager and Assistant Manager
- Resolves employee and customer problems in absence of Store Manager and Assistant Manager and reports same. Utilizes positive disciplinary action process as required
- Performs all administrative and clerical duties including making bank deposits and securing the building in accordance with established guidelines in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager
- Transports clothing from production to the sales floor and distributes clothes on sales floor racks
- Merchandises as per company policy; checks out goods to maintain stock turn over
- Prices hard goods and exceptional têxtiles to achieve maximum sales potential in accordance with established guidelines
- Ensures that the quality and quantity of têxtile and wares production meets benchmarks
- Issues refunds, tax receipts, resolves customer complaints and ensures that customers and donors receive prompt, courteous service
- Makes scheduling and production decisions to meet financial and operational objectives in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager
- Opens and closes retail store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager
- Processes customer transactions at the cash register as required and practices proper money handling procedures and ensures money is secure at all times. Upholds Customer Service Policy.
- Ensures the safety and security of the premises, equipment and merchandise and assures that the building and grounds are clean and neat at all times Responds to security alarm when called
- Reports known or suspected security and/or theft problems to the Store Manager, Assistant Manager or other member of senior management team

**Qualifications**:

- O.S.S.D. or equivalent as recognized by the Ministry of Education preferred
- Previous leadership experience in a retail environment an asset
- Strong customer service and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent command of the English language both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Valid Driver’s License and transportation
- Maintain a valid CPR/First Aid certificate

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.48 per hour
