**Medical Floor Assistant/ ECG Technician**

PACE (Partners in Advanced Cardiac Evaluation) is a network of cardiology clinics in Newmarket, Barrie and Orillia. Our world renowned cardiologists specialize in general cardiology, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology and internal medicine.

Under the supervision and guidance of a physician assistant, the Medical Floor Assistant will take patient vitals, perform ECGs and obtain pertinent cardiovascular and medication histories. This position is for our Newmarket clinic.

**Requirements**:

- Completion of High school diploma, and at least 2 years of recent and related experience in a specialist office (hospital/ clinical setting).
- Basic knowledge of cardiovascular health, diagnostic testing and heart disease an asset.
- Ability to elicit medical and pharmaceutical history.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records is preferred.
- Ability to work as a member of a team is essential.
- Previous experience in a cardiac setting is an asset.
