We are looking for a talented Production Supervisor who knows their way around equipment and has a passion for leading and developing others to meet manufacturing goals with a customer value focus.

**In this role you will**:
- Plan, direct and coordinate production operations in getting the job done to meet quality, efficiency, on time and safety targets.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities.
- Keep track of production activities and communicate delays in a timely manner.
- Ensure manufacturing supplies are on hand and within budget.
- Primary contact for site including personnel, equipment control, assets, facility improvements and all production related administration issues.
- Train staff and uphold company standards consistently.
- Ensure the plant is operated in a safe and environmentally sound manner with the objective of preventing / minimizing injury to personnel, impact on the surrounding environment or damage to plant equipment.
- Ensure plant assets are well maintained and onboard new equipment with supporting training plans and work instructions.
- Ensure team members are developed in an open and positive environment to achieve continuous professional growth thus achieving their personal best. Development philosophy should also focus on positive reinforcement and increasing team member involvement in Company initiatives.
- Co-ordinate continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Assist in hiring production employees and integrate new hires.
- Administer employee performance evaluations.
- Be backup to Production Planner.
**You possess**:
- 3+ years, proven experience as a supervisor or similar leadership role
- Post secondary education in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or similar.
- Experience with manufacturing equipment with a focus on printing equipment. (Knowledge with Mimaki UV printers, Epson sublimation printers, Konica digital printers, Ergosoft RIP, colour management would be an asset)
- Proven ability to motivate, mentor, and coach employees with a development mindset.
- Ability to identify problems, make recommendations, generate solutions, and communicate expectations to support changes.
- Willingness to be hands on in all aspects of the job including large and small tasks.
- Ability to work with high volume of custom orders with short lead times.
- Ability to communicate well (written and oral) in English
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is considered an asset
- Ability to effectively use ERP systems
