**Job Synopsis**

The Support Staff provides support to the managerial staff. They will assist with customer service, retail and front desk operations.
The support staff reports to the Manager and Assistant Manager of MCC Keewatin Furniture Thrift Store.

**Qualifications**

**Education, Experience, and Skills**
- High school diploma with retail/resale experience an asset.
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy; sound decision-making skills.
- Strong verbal, written and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to provide leadership and take initiative as needed.
- Skilled in time management.
- Ability to serve clients in a professional, welcoming, and efficient manner.
- Co-operative, friendly, and helpful attitude towards clients, staff and volunteers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment, while maintaining a sense of humor and a positive, solution-oriented approach.
- Supportive of the mission of MCC and MCC FTS.
- Models an attitude that reflects the values of Mennonite Central Committee and MCC Furniture Thrift Store.
- Proficiency in computer, cash register, and debit machine operations preferred.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule with availability to work weekends as needed.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

As a network of not-for-profit Thrift Shops, we support the local and global relief, development, and peace projects of MCC.

**Location Description**

MCC Thrift Shops in Manitoba, partners of MCC, operate as independent financial and legal entities, each with its own employment policies, requirements, and processes. These 16 thrift shops, spread across 13 communities, generate revenue to support MCC's international and local programs while adhering to MCC's vision and missional values. Each shop is overseen by an autonomous volunteer Board of Directors.
**MCC Furniture Thrift Shop (Keewatin)**:
Located in Winnipeg’s Brooklands area, near Winnipeg’s James Richardson International Airport.
