Surgenor National Leasing, established in 1971, proudly operates the largest independent Hertz franchise in Canada. Our Hertz franchise serves the Greater Ottawa-Gatineau Area, under the Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty banners at six standalone Locations, with a full offering of Cars, SUV’s, Luxury Cars and SUV’s, Cargo Vans, Pick Up Trucks and Medium Duty Trucks.
In addition to our Hertz operations, we operate a large and diverse fleet of Lease Vehicles to short
- and long-term clients across Canada under the Surgenor National Leasing and Surgenor Fleet brands. Surgenor National Leasing is proud to be a part of the larger Surgenor Automotive Group, a family-owned and operated automotive organization serving the Ottawa area for more than 50 years.
We are currently seeking a Lease Accounting Administrator (full-time permanent) who will assist in day to day full-cycle general accounting process. Duties include but not limited to:
**Responsibilities**
- Accounting for lease agreements (on-road, off-road, etc.)
- Ensure that completed lease files agree to internal policies
- Preparing monthly pre-authorized contribution (PAC) reports, customer refunds and other adjustments to lease accounts.
- Performing account and schedule reconciliations, as required.
- Generating reports for management, as required.
- Provide assistance to the Accounts Payable function, as needed.
- Assisting the sales team, as needed.
- Other duties as required.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- Detailed orientated with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
- A business degree or diploma with an emphasis in accounting and finance.
- Vehicle Leasing or automotive dealer experience is considered an asset.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is not required; considered an asset.
- Previous experience working with Salesforce and CDK is considered an asset.
