**Position Overview**

We are seeking a **Barista** to join our team at **Urban Calm Coffee**. As a Barista, you will be the face of our café, responsible for crafting high-quality coffee beverages and providing outstanding customer service. You will work closely with our team to maintain a welcoming atmosphere and ensure that every guest enjoys their experience with us. This is a full-time position, offering consistent Monday-to-Friday shifts.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty drinks, following our signature recipes.
- Greet customers with a friendly, positive attitude and take their orders efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following health and safety guidelines, as well as ensuring the cleanliness of the coffee bar, dining areas, and equipment.
- Provide knowledgeable and personalized recommendations to customers, offering insights on our menu and coffee offerings.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Handle cash and process customer transactions accurately, ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure that all orders are prepared and delivered in a timely manner.
- Create an inviting atmosphere by engaging with customers and making them feel welcome.
- Maintain inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and keep stock organized.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed, including setting up and shutting down the café for the day.
- Continuously learn and improve your coffee knowledge to stay up-to-date with trends and customer preferences.

**QualificationsRequired Skills & Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing techniques, beans, and drink recipes.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems with accuracy.
- Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, with availability for occasional extended hours or special events.
- Strong work ethic, team-oriented attitude, and a commitment to maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Barista certification or formal coffee training is a plus.
- Experience with latte art or specialty drinks preparation is an advantage.
- Knowledge of local coffee trends and an enthusiasm for sharing your expertise with others.
