Internship - HR Technician

Maintaining and updating the HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and other related databases.
- Providing technical support to HR staff and managers in the use of HR technology systems.
- Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures related to technology usage, security and data privacy.
- Assisting in the selection and implementation of new HR technology systems and tools.
- Conducting training sessions for employees on HR technology and software.
- Managing and maintaining employee records and confidential information in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring that HR systems are configured and customized to meet the specific needs of the organization.
- Conducting research on new HR technology trends and best practices.
- Providing analytical and reporting support for HR metrics and data analysis to support business decision-making.
- **WORKING CONDITIONS**_
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. periodically.
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending and machine operation.
- Able to sit/stand/walk/lift the majority of the day.
- Hand and arm dexterity to make adjustments to equipment.
- Strong visual acuity.
- QUALIFICATIONS_
- Completed high school diploma. Additional training and certification in office systems is preferred. Completed post-secondary education is an asset.
- Proven reliability. Must be punctual and reliable.
- Completed all company training as assigned.
- Excellent relationship management skills. Builds credibility and trust by capably following through on commitments.
- Intermediate or higher levels of literacy and proficiency with reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
- Must be able to work flexible shift times.
- Technical aptitude including basic math.
- English communication skills (written & verbal).
- Must maintain a clean and safe work area at all times in accordance with all company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Attentive to detail.
- Excellent visual acuity.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and tactfully handle stressful situations.
- High level of initiative. Able to work independently and be self-directed and self-motivated.
- Strong work ethic, integrity and positive attitude.
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
- Performance evaluation will take into consideration the capabilities and results demonstrated in these key competencies._
