**_Position Summary: _**
**_ _**Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, Clinical Information Services and Decision Support, the Financial Analyst Decision Support will work collaboratively with the BI, CIS, Finance Teams, and the Leadership Team of Guelph General Hospital.
The Financial Analyst Decision Support is responsible for collating data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and manage the information to ensure continuity and optimize quality. Collaborates with peer analysts to provide accurate, timely information to support effective organizational decision-making. This position is primarily responsible for all MIS data entry, from education, collection, entry, reconciliation and submission to the MOH. This also involves doing reasonability checks, validation of workload figures and tools, personnel, activity, and payroll data. This position will also collaborate with the Senior Financial Analyst Decision Support for budget template development, reconciliation and uploads to the payroll and general ledgers. This position will also collaborate with benchmarking analysis and assist Leadership with Scorecard reporting and variance explanations. This position contributes to promoting a culture of operational/financial efficiency and clinical effectiveness to support excellent patient care, and ensure accuracy of Ministry reporting to optimize funding opportunities.

**_Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities: _**
- University degree or College diploma in a related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in a hospital/health care setting
- Experience in analytics, data management or business intelligence.
- OHRS (Ontario Healthcare Reporting System) knowledge/experience
- Intermediate to advanced level of knowledge in MS Office Excel
- Proficiency in creative problem solving, judicial thinking, and reporting skills
- Excellent leadership skills, and proficiency with presenting information both verbal and written
- Proven ability to work productively under pressure, with strong attention to detail and organization, while remaining focused and able to manage interruptions and meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrated self-learning/motivation and goal setting/achievement
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, colleagues and physicians
