**Title**: Youth and Community Wellness Coordinator
**Salary**: $ 66,597 - $ 91,571 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Permanent
**Hours**: Core hours 9am-5pm Mon-Fri
**Location**: Park Royal Offices, West Vancouver, unceded traditional territories of the x?m??k??y??m (Musqueam), S?wx_wú7mesh (Squamish), and s?lilw?ta? (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations - Onsite/Hybrid (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.
**About the role**
As Youth Community Wellness Coordinator, you will support culturally relevant tobacco and vaping harm reduction in the Vancouver Coastal Region by analyzing data, developing strategies, and adapting FNHA resources to community needs, with a particular focus on youth, young adults, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ populations. You will be collaborating with stakeholders to design inclusive engagement sessions, promoting wellness at events, fostering partnerships with health authorities and organizations, and ensuring program delivery aligns with regional priorities, cultural values, and the unique needs of these groups.
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have/be:
**Education**
- Diploma in health, social science, or related field relevant to the position and recent related experience in tobacco reduction/health promotion/population health, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
**Experience**
- Experience in tobacco reduction/cessation, health promotion, and/or healthy public policy
- Experience working with First Nations communities and Leadership
- Experience in project research/coordination/management
- Experience in delivering presentations to the public
**Knowledge and Abilities**
- Knowledge of Vancouver BC First Nations communities and area
- Knowledge of best practices in tobacco and vaping reduction/cessation and health promotion
- Must possess a valid BC Driver’s License
- Ability to use capacity building, community development and engagement theories in the development of culturally relevant and appropriate tobacco strategies

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
