**You are the Right Person if you**:

- Have a post-secondary Engineering Degree or 3-year Electrical Engineering Technology diploma
- Have up to 5 years experience in design of electrical distribution systems
- Have strong communication and people skills to ensure effective communication with team members and clients
- Experience in leading design teams
- Have strong attention to detail with organizational and computer skills
- Have excellent time management skills to be able to oversee multiple projects

**The Opportunity**

As a Design Supervisor, your job will be to work with the Director and your team, to execute a variety of projects including overhead and underground capital reconstruction projects, new underground systems for residential and industrial, commercial subdivisions, roadway and area lighting. You will be responsible for managing your own day-to-day work load, and scheduling work for your team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the execution of assigned projects
- Provide technical support to designers
- Participate in training and mentoring of designers
- Maintain knowledge of current design requirements and standards
- Participate in the preparation and issuance of assigned proposals
- Ensure that electronic project folders are properly maintained
- Ensure that all project team members understand project budgets, project time frames and due dates
- Attend client meetings, if needed
- Review submissions for Quality Assurance and Quality Control
- Coordinate contract administration activities
- Ensure all team members are kept up to date on project
- Assist in training and mentoring of junior designers
- Proactively improve their skills and execution to be able to progress to another level
