**Position name**: Dispatcher

**Reports to**: Logistics Manager

**Job Purpose**:
The Truck Dispatcher needs to be highly detailed and work well under pressure to coordinate lots of changing factors. Working with the Logistics Team the Truck Dispatcher will ensure that trucks are scheduled efficiently and be the main contact for all drivers.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Plan trucks for all customer and dispatch the drivers with all the correct information.
- Dispatching contracts to carriers, with all/any special instructions once the rate has been agreed upon.
- Field and direct all incoming phone calls as required.
- Act as a liaison between the company and client to ensure high level communication,
- Ensure compliance to predetermined routes, customer protocols and safety procedures.
- Handle emergency pickup and delivery of orders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any driver and customer issues.
- Relay progress reports in a timely manner.
- Confirming customs broker information.
- Saving all documents (BOLS/Customs docs/Packing lists) to the server.
- Trace and track all the shipments through the day.
- Ensuring Carriers have insurance, and an acceptable safety rating before securing.
- Resolving any issues regarding any order with the carrier or drivers brought. This may include any accessorial, delays or service problems.
- Finalizing any accessorial charges with the customer.
- Handle other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Diploma/ Degree in Supply Chain Management or similar background is preferred.
- 5-year minimum experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient at working with Microsoft Excel and has ability to work with other software and GPS technology.
- Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
- Attention to detail and ability to provide constructive feedback.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
