We provide capital raising services, management accounting, and mergers and acquisitions advisory.

With respect to management accounting, we believe our responsibilities do not end with the production of financial statements for tax purposes. We produce financial statements from a management accounting perspective, so businesses are able to use them for business planning. We provide services related to strategy, budgeting, project management, key performance indicators, implementation of finance policies and cash flow analysis.

We are looking to hire a full-time accounting associate to provide management accounting services to our clients. This individual should be strong in accounting and look to provide excellent client service. We will provide on the job training.

**Responsibilities**

**Monthly recurring tasks**
- Request information from clients to identify transactions for bookkeeping
- Run bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for clients, perform payroll remittance and year-end filings
- Prepare month-end adjusting entries
- Support AR/AP function with for the clients
- Prepare financial statements for clients and identify potential issues and suggest improvement to the client
- Prepare gross margin analysis for product line for clients to better understand the profit of their business
- Respond and follow up with the clients for any CRA inquiry
- Conduct balance sheet accounts reconciliation
- Research for government grants or any other new accounting topics
- Ad hoc tasks assigned by managers

**Tax related tasks**
- Assist in preparing T2 and T1 for clients with the support of the manager
- Prepare quarterly HST, QST filing with multiple clients

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- In the process of completing the Professional accounting designation (CPA)
- 3-5 years previous work experience within Finance, Accounting department or Public Accounting firm
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills through previous experience
- Ability to interpret and draw conclusions from financial information
- Prior work experience with start-up and small business considered as asset
- Prior work experience with process improvement considered as asset
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail and accuracy is a must
- Fluency in English both written and verbal

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
