Position: Night Shift (Sunday-Thursday 11:30 pm - 7:30 am)

The primary function of this position is to monitor packaging equipment, fill feeders, perform quality checks on packaging according to product specifications, observe all safety regulations, ensure GMP and quality standards are met, and maintain the efficient flow of products through the production process.

Main Job Responsibilities:

- Ensures line speed and controls are running according to product specification
- Keeps the line properly supplied by obtaining appropriate materials (i.e. correct film), positioning them to the station, filling feeders, and maintaining levels.
- Anticipates and assists with line changeovers. Limits downtime by reporting equipment problems to maintenance for the troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
- Maintains specifications by detecting non-conformances and inspects the packaging for defects such as inadequate pleats, air leaks, and code date errors to keep the product within specified limits.
- Complete downtime sheets and fill out process control sheets, confer with next shift operators and maintenance staff as required.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment, and to work closely with crew leaders, supervisors, and maintenance to successfully manage orders to completion.

Job Skills and Qualification
- Knowledge and experience working with packaging machinery in a food processing environment preferred.
- Must be A team player with a mechanical aptitude, who is able to troubleshoot and communicate with maintenance for assistance when required to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English.
- Must have basic computer skills and a good grasp of math and measuring skills.
- Must be physically fit and able to handle the physically demanding nature of the position, and possess a safety-first approach to work. This job involves heavy lifting above and below the shoulder.
