**THE TEAM**

Our Global Commerce & Payments teams manage over $12B in annual payments on a cloud-native platform built for fitness. We deliver global coverage, intelligent billing, frictionless in-person and online payment experiences, and strong risk and compliance controls. Clients include Planet Fitness, Anytime Fitness, Crunch, EOS Gyms, and thousands of trainers, studios, and clubs on Ignite, Glofox, Trainerize, and Evo.

**ROLE OVERVIEW**

As the Product Owner, Point of Sale (POS), you will play a critical role in translating product strategy into actionable work for Agile teams. Partnering closely with the Product Manager, you will own the team backlog, define and prioritize user stories, and ensure delivery of features that improve checkout speed, reliability, compliance, and usability. You’ll collaborate daily with engineering, operations, finance, support, and go-to-market teams to deliver secure, scalable, and staff-friendly POS experiences across in-club, mobile, and self-service environments.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
- Own, refine, and prioritize the Team Backlog based on business value, stakeholder needs, and program priorities.
- Clearly define user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team.
- Lead sprint planning, story refinement, and backlog prioritization with development teams.
- Validate delivered stories, ensuring they meet business, compliance, and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with Product Management, System Architects, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
- Ensure features meet PCI DSS, NACHA, card-network rules, and data privacy standards.
- Monitor key technical metrics (SLOs, observability, release readiness) and ensure continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of POS APIs, SDKs, event contracts, and documentation to make extensions and integrations simple.
- Ensure integration flows are developer-friendly, consistent, and well-documented.
- Ensure delivered increments meet quality standards and business outcomes.

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**
- 7-10+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience in POS, retail, or in-person commerce systems at scale.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum/SAFe practices and iteration planning.
- Familiarity with developer-facing platforms (APIs/SDKs, webhooks, event contracts, documentation).
- Ability to break down complex requirements into clear user stories and backlog items.
- Experience working with Agile planning and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps) and collaborating across engineering, operations, support, finance, and GTM teams.

**GREAT TO HAVE**
- Knowledge of card-present payments, EMV/contactless flows, tokenization, and PCI compliance.
- Exposure to global POS rollouts (multi-currency, localization, fiscal receipts).
- Background in fitness/wellness membership sales, check-in integrations, class bookings, loyalty/gift cards.
- Familiarity with Jira/Confluence, Miro, Figma, and partnering with GTM on launches and enablement.
