**SERVICE TECHNICIAN TRAINEE - HEALTHCARE EQUIPMENT**

Consider training in the repair, setup and delivery of healthcare mobility industry for people with physical challenges. We work with kids and adults who need to get out and explore, just like you. So we make special personal support equipment, and sell and service manual and power wheelchairs to get them out there.

We are a small company in New Westminster near Skytrain, and are looking for good people to help us grow to meet the expanding need.

Your tasks will involve the delivery of hospital beds and other heavy equipment. This equipment needs to be transported, carried into the residence and set up. This is physically demanding work, and you need to be prepared and in good physical condition. Are you able to lift 70 - 100 lbs?

You will also be required to clean and maintain shop, client and other areas at our facilities, and perform some vehicle maintenance also. If you have other skills or would like to learn other aspects of our trade, we may wish to explore those options with you also.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:
Good physical fitness; lifting 70 - 100 lbs.

Some technical experience.

Citizenship or valid work permit.

Already living in the Vancouver / Lower Mainland / Fraser Valley area

Valid driver’s license necessary.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- we are willing to train the right person
- it is helpful if you have any tool skills or familiarity with bicycles, ebikes, cars, or machines
- knowledge of electronics is useful
- capability of doing service work in the shop or on the road
- able to communicate clearly in English
- able to work with healthcare client and staff
- computer ability to find parts and repair information, and online pricing
- record keeping on computer
- clean driver’s license
- driving experience in the Vancouver / Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley is helpful
- able to perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in shop, client and other areas, including bathrooms
- some vehicle maintenance
- forklift operation, (will train)
- team player with our long-term staff
- a good back and physically fit - heavy lifting required
