Social Media Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Social Media Specialist who is highly experienced with Content Creation and can elevate our social media presence, following and engagement. You will play a crucial role in creating high quality original content for various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn).
You are not just an expert on the development of engaging content, but also an expert on social trends, algorithms, and how to grow brand awareness and engagement. You are highly experienced with various social media platforms and are comfortable with the organic, paid, and technical aspects of operating on these platforms. You have experience and are interested in the construction industry and its audiences. You will be engaging with a wide array of audiences including influencers, industry partners and customers. Overtime, you will become an expert in our industry’s social landscape - top accounts, key influencers, types of content our audiences are engaged with, etc.
You will be working primarily offsite. There may be opportunities for some onsite production work. You will be comfortable in front of and behind the camera, filming short B-rolls, product videos, and taking photos to add to the social media asset library.
The time commitment is 15-20 hours per week. Agencies and independent contractors are welcome to apply.

**Responsibilities**:
- Strategy - Plan and execute social media campaigns via an up-to-date social calendar
- Content - Create high quality, unique, and engaging content that can be used across various platforms and that aligns with our brand voice. You will familiarize yourself with Aarcomm’s web content, products, YouTube and blog content and utilize these existing resources to plan out your social content.
- Video - We have a strong bias for video content. You will optimize existing and new content through video creation and editing.
- Community - Build and maintain a strong online presence by engaging with customers, online groups and influencers. Create new relationships and maintain existing ones.
- Monitoring - Monitor and respond to customer inquiries, comments, and messages across platforms in a timely and friendly manner. Alert the Marketing team on urgent issues in a timely manner.
- Social Intelligence - Track Aarcomm’s brand on social media. Provide business intelligence back to the Sales/Marketing team on notable news (mergers, acquisitions, product news, etc.)
- Reporting - Analyze performance and provide regular reports on key social media metrics, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Trends - Stay up-to-date with trends, tools, and platform updates to ensure Aarcomm remains relevant and competitive. Offer creative ideas to take advantage of relevant trends.
- Technical Maintenance - Maintain and optimize all social media accounts.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in social media management and community building (5 years +)
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their best practices (5 years +)
- Video and photo editing experience for social media (5 years +)
- Affiliate/Influencer marketing and management (3 years +)
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions to optimize engagement and reach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting compelling content.
- Creative thinking with a passion for storytelling and connecting with audiences.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later) and other design and editing tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Capcut).
**Preferred Additional Skills & Experience**:
- Industrial and B-2-B Sector - Experience in the industrial/construction and/or B-2-B sector is a plus.
- Paid Media - Manage paid media strategy and execution with internal and external partners (Google Ads, Meta Ads, Tik Tok ads, LinkedIn ads, etc.)
- Event Marketing - Experience in marketing/promoting events such as trade shows, customer appreciation events, open houses, etc.
