**Position Summary**

Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has an exciting new opportunity for a P**ayroll and General Accounting Specialist. **The successful incumbent will process all payrolls & monitor related accrual accounts. Statutory & financial reporting, year-end reporting of T-4 information & company annual summary reporting (WSIB, EHT, etc.). Other tasks included day-to-day banking activities to support cash management, Monthly reconciliation of company bank accounts and AMEX. They will also take part in general accounting duties to support transaction processing & monthly requirements.

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Ensure payrolls are completed accurately, & on a timely basis
- Statutory & financial reporting (eg. CRA, EHT, WSIB)
- Year-end reporting of employee T4 information & company annual summary reporting
- Day-to-day reporting of banking activities to support cash management
- Monthly reconciliation of company bank accounts/Amex and payroll related accounts
- Prepare & forward all employee expense reports to accounts payable
- Support General Accounting requirements

**Position Requirements**
- College degree in business or related field or equivalent experience required.
- 3 to 5 years work experience in a similar position with payroll experience a must and preferably aerospace. - **Must have union payroll experience**:

- **PCP-Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification required**:

- Knowledge & understanding of: CCRA rules pertaining to payroll, Employment Standards & Statutory requirements
- General Accounting background a plus
- Proficiency with MS Office & Internet
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with confidential financial information
