Job DescriptionHow You’ll Make an Impact:   Supervise 4 other janitorial team members Develop and maintain cleaning schedules/checklists and ensure that they are followed by the janitorial teamConduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure that all areas are clean and well-maintainedOrder and track cleaning supplies Train janitorial staff in proper cleaning techniques and safety proceduresMaintain accurate records of cleaning logsAssist in hiring/terminatingPerform daily cleaning tasks according to scheduleCleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floors, offices, meeting rooms and washroomsVacuuming office space and furnitureCarries out waste collection and disposal in accordance with facility standardsThe duties are split approximately 80% cleaning tasks and 20% supervisor/administrative tasks Provide occasional coverage for mailroom clerkAdditional tasks/duties as requiredQualificationsWhat You’ll Need to Succeed: Proficient in English, both reading and writing.At least 3 years of experience in janitorial or custodial work, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and other stakeholders.Ability to work independently Basic computer skillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with janitorial work.Additional InformationWhat Makes Sodexo Different:   Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater because we believe our everyday actions have a big impact.
