Company DescriptionWe are currently hiring casual Companions at $ to support our Toronto service region specifically in the Uptown (Yonge and Eglington or Yonge and Lawrence) area. In this role, you will help clients with basic household tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping and respite so that the senior can continue living at home. By joining Spectrum Health Care you will be part of one of Canada’s Best Managed companies and a committed member of a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals. Job DescriptionProvide companionship and basic household tasks for medically stable patients under the direction of a Home Support Supervisor.Perform basic meal preparation and light housekeeping duties such as washing dishes, taking out the garbage, doing client’s laundry. Sweeping and vacuuming within the client’s immediate living area may be required.Provide respite for medically stable patients while the primary caregiver is out of the home.Maintain awareness of patient’s abilities, current diagnosis made by medical professionals, diet, personal interests and special needs.Requires travel within assigned region between patients’ residences or facilities.QualificationsCompassionate individual with a passion for helping othersAbility to interact with others in a caring, courteous and tactful mannerAbility to speak other languages is considered an assetValid Vulnerable Sector Police Check and TB Test (within 6 months) as a condition of employmentAdditional InformationThis position is a current vacancySpectrum Health Care is thrilled to be named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
