Available Work Terms: (4-months and 8-month placements -see application for details)Key Responsibilities:Use of Geomatics technology (GIS, GPS and remote sensing) to manage GIS databases and processes that support asset management and capital planning.Maintain and update maps and GIS applicationsExpand catalogue of solutions through ESRI appsAssist in integration of the GIS with other software vendorsField work (data collection and surveying)Other duties as requiredSkills and Knowledge:Advanced use of the ESRI ArcGIS softwareExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPublic speaking skillsStrong organizational and planning abilitiesStrong computer skillsGood analytical skillsDemonstrates strong learning agilityKnowledge of spatial analysis, metadata and principles of relational databasesDependable and self-motivatedAbility to work cooperatively and effectively in a teamA strong understanding of safety in the workplaceComfortable working in the field (surveying and data collection)We seek students that:Are eligible and available for a (4-month or 8-month) work term placement beginning May 2026Solid academic performance with a equivalent to or higherCurrent post-secondary studies in one of the following programs and will return to school upon completion of their work term:Specialization in GIS/GeomaticsWhy should you consider a co-op term at Bruce Power?
