Your Opportunity Stantec’s Western Canadian Power Delivery group has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Distribution EIT to join the dynamic, vibrant, and collaborative team. The Civil Distribution EIT is responsible for providing cost estimates and designs for a diverse range of underground electrical distribution projects. Reporting to the Team Lead, Civil Distribution Design, you will be responsible for communicating directly with clients and customers to establish service requirements and provide solid design solutions and alternatives that meet client needs. You will work with landowners, customers, and other client departments to ensure that the projects are effectively coordinated and executed by yourself. You will ensure that facilities are designed in a safe, cost-effective and timely manner and meet all applicable codes, standards and regulations. Your Key Responsibilities Design distribution infrastructure to meet project requirements. Develop design solutions that meet all applicable codes, standards and regulations. Develop project cost estimates and material lists. Manage external client relationships through effective and timely communication. Monitor project progress and take action to meet client requirements. Travel and perform site visits as required. Identify potential safety or environmental concerns and initiate appropriate action. Coordinate designs with various 3rd party stakeholders. Facilitate approval requests with various 3rd party stakeholders. Provide technical guidance to customers, stakeholders, and external consultants. Your Capabilities and Credentials Eligible or registered as an EIT in Canada. Effective interpersonal skills – Strong written and verbal skills are essential to ensure clear communication between team members, clients, contractors, and suppliers. Able to work collaboratively as a member of the team. Strong time management and prioritization skills. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to set priorities, organize work and complete work within given timelines. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Civil 3D would be an asset. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum of 3 years of experience designing power utility infrastructure within North America. Previous BC Hydro experience considered an asset. Stantec is proud to offer a hybrid work environment with the potential opportunity to work between your home office and the local Stantec office. Join us and redefine your personal best. #FeelingEnergized Pay Range: • Locations Outside of Lower Mainland - BC-$63,300.00 - $88,600.00 Annually • Locations in Lower Mainland - BC-$67,100.00 - $93,900.00 Annually Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
