We’re passionate about helping businesses streamline their payment processes, reduce costs, and achieve financial success through customized, reliable solutions. The OpportunityWe’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriter to join our team in Montreal (near Green Line - Peel Metro). This full-time, on-site role (34 hours/week) is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with clients and cross-functional teams. Compensation:$45,000 - $55,000 yearlyResponsibilities:Manage, track, and prioritize the underwriting process in order to maintain timely submission based on established guidelines and risk tolerance.Examine all applications, disclosures, and documentation for accuracy and regulatory and compliance guidelines (AML, KYC, and other relevant regulations).Determine the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses and identify potential fraud prevention measures.Correspond with applicants on behalf of the underwriting team (phone and email communications).Qualifications:Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills are preferred.Great attention to detail, decision-making, and data analysis skills are needed.Knowledge of credit risk assessment and payment processing.Familiarity with AML/KYC regulation and compliance.Bachelor’s degree preferred, but will accept relevant previous experience.About CompanyWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits package after 3 monthsA 34-hour work week for better work-life balanceA stable, collaborative, and professional work environmentIf you are looking for an exciting opportunity where you can grow your career, and if you meet our qualifications, we want to speak with you.
