Bird is a place where you will unlock your potential and achieve your goals.We are looking for a skilled Estimator to support our structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication team. This role is responsible for accurate takeoffs, pricing, and bid support for fabrication projects.This position is based out of our facility in Nisku, AB.What You Will Be Working On- Interpret client drawings, specifications, and tender documents.- Prepare detailed estimates for materials, fabrication hours, welding, and subcontracted services.- Perform digital takeoffs using Bluebeam; experience with Tekla PowerFab is an asset.- Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to clarify scope and gather pricing.- Support proposal development and maintain organized estimate documentation.What We Are Looking For- Experience in structural steel and/or miscellaneous metals estimating for fabrication shop work.- Strong understanding of fabrication processes and CSA standards related to structural steel (e.g., CSA W59, W47.1).- Proficient with Bluebeam; Tekla PowerFab experience considered a strong asset.- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.- Ability to work on-site in Nisku, Alberta.We Put Safety FirstA healthy and safe work environment is non-negotiable.
