Position Overview

We are currently hiring Structural Steel Fitters/Welders, including Apprentices and Journeypersons, for our Edmonton (night shift) and Nisku (night shift) fabrication facilities.

Night Shift Hours:

Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM – 3:30 AM

Day Shift Hours:

Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints
• Lay out, prepare and assemble structural steel components for commercial, institutional and industrial steel erection projects
• Operate metalworking machines and use cutting torches to cut steel, drill or punch holes, roll, bend or press steel into a desired shape
• Assemble and fit metal sections and plates together to form complete units and sub-units
• Fasten components together by mechanical means or tack weld in preparation for a welder to complete the process
• Select and transport material to work area manually or using overhead crane
• You thrive in a fast paced environment and provide execution excellence in everything that you do.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Structural Steel Fitter/Welder certification or equivalent experience
• Apprentices are encouraged to apply
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
• Ability to commute to the job site (T9E 7Y3 – Edmonton area)
• Legally eligible to work in Canada (no sponsorship available)

Pay: $23.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 44 per week
