Position Summary Amacon is looking for an energetic team player with a strong work ethic and who is proactive to take on the role as our Accounting Intern for a short-term contract. This position can handle any administrative task and demonstrates a strong ability to be organized, analytical, and enables efficiency and productivity. We are looking for post-secondary students in their final year of school and recent graduates who want hands-on experience in accounting. This position is a 6-month contract starting in October 2025 with the potential for extension. Position Responsibilities Data entry into our accounting software (Yardi). Filing invoices. Scanning documents. Accounts payable. Bank deposits. Download bank statements from various institutions we hold accounts in. Create legal documents from templates. Prepare simple year end working papers to analyze corporate results, and prepare financial statements using a template. Create and analyze simple journal entries to post into accounting software. Other ad hoc duties as required. Experience & Qualifications Education: Currently enrolled as a final-year student or recent graduate from an Accounting or Business Management program. Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy. Comfortable with repetitive tasks. Comfortable working with Microsoft suite of products: specifically Word, Excel, Teams. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to meet tight timelines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Willing to take on new tasks and projects with a team-based focus. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. Must be punctual and reliable. Able to work independently. Additional Information This contract hourly position works 8:30 am - 5:00 pm in the office, Monday through Friday and is in downtown Vancouver.
